My cat is fat! Not sure why? He eats good food (Science Diet) and his dry food is low cal diet food. He gets his recommended daily amount...still fat! Like 20+lbs. Maybe he just has slow metabolism? He is not modest at all though, he loves to show his belly!

love him! and i love that rug
He's so cute....Not to scare you but i might know why he's fat...
My in-laws dog got really fat and they took her to the vet and the vet said that even the lowest calorie/diet Science Diet food is extremely fattening. The food had caused problems with Sophie's liver functions and digestive system so she was really gaining the weight from that. It took them about a year to get the weight off of her. She was really high risk but now she's 6 years old and doing great!
You might want to talk to your vet. As cute as fat pets are, it can be kinda dangerous...and I know you love Marley like I love my pups! I had to put Jaci on a diet because she got too fat and they thought her knees were going to break! Is that not the craziest thing you've ever heard!?
Ha! How cute! I just want to rub his belly!
I wish our cat would get fat. He's a skinny little guy but he eats ALL.THE.TIME. He'll sit there and wait to be fed like, "Hurry the F up"
He's so cute!!! He makes me think that our tabby that is 6 months old and 8 lbs is going to get a lot bigger. I love when cats roll on their backs like he's doing there.
What a cutie!! Sometimes cats have metabolism problems (like us humans hurumph) and even though they eat properly, they gain weight. Though, I think he looks pretty darn adorable that chunky. :)
that is so cute... he is twice the size of my too weenie dogs!! I love it!
How cute is he!
In my opinion cats are more precious when they're fat. Look at Garfield...
he's bigger then my dog ;)
tooo cute!!!! just want to rub his belly!
Fat's the new skinny...right? ;)
Too dang cute!!!! kinda reminds me of my FAT lab, she loves being on her back..
Fat and proud of it. Hard to come by...good for him for embracing it:)
Ahhh! Love this! I had a college roommate who had a cat who was about this size...he didn't seem to eat any more than normal, so I don't know what the deal was!
Your cat is so cute!!!
