B just had his 5th surgery. He had a permanent shunt placed in. This will hopefully be his last trip to the OR. His shunt will be with him forever and will grow with him.
He's doing great. He does not need to go to the ICU, his breathing tube came right out, he's awake and we're very happy.
He has his valve for the shunt behind his right ear and once his hair grow in you wont even see it. They made a small incision by his belly button to run the drain into his stomach.
They will observe him for a few days and we hope to be home by Friday!
Here is a diagram to explain what a VP shunt is better:
What a brave little man. Little did I know that Brayden's name was actually perfect for him. It means Brave!

Wow! That's so interesting. I hope he recovers quickly and never has to be in the hospital again!!
Glad to hear things went well. Will continue to send lots of prayers your way!
This is my first time to your blog, and this is exactly what I needed to read today. I have been sitting here selfishly in tears over some stupid small surgical procedure that I have to have and then I read about your baby and see how tough and strong he is. I feel so embarrassed about the worry I have gone through all day after reading this. I will be praying for your little man, and your family.
Praying for B and you guys.
