50 Shades of Mommyhood

It's weeks like these that I look forward to a glass of wine with dinner, a bath, and bed!!

B's top tooth is trying to come through and he is a MONSTER. Seriously, why do the sweet little kiddos turn demonic when they are teething? It's like a cruel joke they play on moms (and dads).

At night B will fall asleep, wake up crying, fall asleep, and repeat 10x. The hubs has the night time routine and he is about ready to break. I'm not one to give meds lightly but tonight B will get a dose of Tylenol if he's fussy again.

I love B to death but a fussy (special needs) crabby babe makes mommy crazy. If you asked me this week if we were going to have another kid I would say hell no!

Despite being pushed to the brink nothing beats those sweet mommy moments with B. Hopefully the monster will pop the tooth soon and return to planet normal child.

I never realized how much motherhood would feel like Tourettes. You can go from totally blissful happy in love with your munchkin to trying not to kill him to wanting to throw a tantrum yourself to blissful again all in 10 minutes!! But I wouldn't give it up for anything!

do NOT feel bad about giving him tylenol. help you and the lil guy out! Rogan got tylenol several times during the never-ending teething saga.

I'm sure you know about all the other teething remedies too but let me know if you want the list. Chase is a horrible teether so I feel your pain! Thank you for being so honest about it how hard it is! You are a saint! Are you guys thinking about having another? You know on the good days?

I hope he feels better soon! It's amazing how much teething affects them, they are totally different children.

Those pictures are precious!

I've been reading your blog for a while. I find you inspirational. I wanted to comment on your last paragraph in this post. You couldn't have said it better. I always love to hear other moms express how I feel...makes me feel so normal. Thos baby commercials growing up never show the crazy side of parenting!!

I wish I could "like" (like on facebook) your comment about mommyhood being like having tourettes. Seriously.

We're going through teething too. I keep saying that this has to be a cruel joke. Hang in there!! I'll think of you guys & say a little prayer when we're up doing the same soothing routine with our little (miserable) guy!

I'm sorry he's having a rough time with his tooth, but that pic of you guys looking at each other and laughing is so great!

My little one has been a terror this week too! So fussy and wakes up in the night. I don't see a tooth coming in but that has to be it!

What a great post. I felt that way this weekend. We had tantrum city, one after another. I had to sit on the couch and ignore my son for a few minutes to catch a breather! Us mommy's are amazing!
