Dr follow ups and Scentsy orders

I have been up to Children's in Milwaukee twice in the last three days. Fri B met with his Ortho and Special Needs Dr and today was Ophthalmology(eye). Believe me I tired to get them in the same day but to no avail...good thing these miles are tax deductible come Feb. Doesn't help the fact I'm exhausted, toting a 31lb toddler around the hospital that's an hour drive each way...takes it out of me. Luckily last Friday my mom came with to help out. Four hands are definitely better than two.

Appointments went well. He had an x-ray with Ortho and his spine looks great, no change to the scoliosis curve. He will get an x-ray once a year to monitor. His Special Needs Dr put him on Diazepam at night to help relax his muscles and help him sleep since he hasn't been sleeping well...can I get some of that LOL!! So far it hasn't helped a ton but we are still playing with the right dose. Today his eye appointment went well. His eyes are fine, no need for glasses. It's his cortical nerve that is damaged which limits vision and we can't do anything about that. He will now be followed every 2 years with an eye exam.

We got to use our handicap placard for the first time. I must say what a huge help it is and the extra space form the handicap spot is a must!

Today B was so tired he passed out in the waiting room. He was oblivious to all the noise! I'll take sleepy over crabby any day.

So now we go back in two weeks to get his feeding tube changed to the MicKey button. I CAN"T WAIT!!! It will be so nice to finally ditch the long tube.

In other news our Scentsy fundraiser has been extended and you can now place orders until the end of September to help out our Van 4 Brayden fundraising. make sure to pick up some great stuff for Fall and early Christmas!! Please visit this link to place orders. And thank you for all who have already placed orders and donated to the fund, we really appreciate it!!!

Super excited that the Scentsy thing is extended! Now help a sister out - what scents are MUST have for fall and winter?

Also, you are like a saint... with all of the appointments and waiting rooms, you deserve an award for your patience and humble nature!

We had many many follow ups at Milwaukee Childrens as well. Though I loved it there it was an hour drive each way for us as well. By the time you drive there, go to the appt ,get something to eat and drive home the day is done. I used to have to drop the kids at school ,take T to his appt and by the time we got home school was getting out...=day shot:( but its worth it for great DRs.
