I am joining the thousands to spread awareness of CP in honor of my little man! He has Spastic Quadropelic CP. Although CP makes simple tasks very hard for B and will be a big hurdle his whole life a diagnosis does not define him. He is just as loved, just as cherished, and just as perfect to me.
I would be lying if I said raising a child with CP isn't hard but by normalizing it and talking opening about it I am trying to pave the way for our family.
Reach out to someone you know today who is affected by CP or has family members with CP...show them some love!!

B playing with his new toy! I finally found this toy his therapist has, that he adores. It's a Mattel 1995 farm toy...thank god for eBay!!

We are so excited for for the first annual CP day!! We are in the process of adopting Taevon, an amazing little boy that also has Spastic Quadriplegic CP among other issues.
How exciting Heather. You and your hubby are so involved and so giving. You are an incredibly mommy and I feel lucky to know you :-)
I used to read your blog a LONG time ago and then I fell off the blog radar. I didn't know any of this happened! I'm catching up and I wanted to let you know that you are an AMAZING mother and Brayden and unbelievably blessed to have you!!! God Bless you on this special Day!
I think of you and Brayden all the time when I meet other kids or adults with CP. You are such an amazing family1
Hi Heather. Just started reading your blog. So funny that your therapist uses that toy and you found it...I'm an early intervention developmental therapist for vision and that toy is a HUGE hit with many of my little ones. Is Brayden receiving vision services through EI? I've worked with countless little ones with CVI...please let me know if you ever have any questions. :)
